Buddy is being treated for a tumor on his paw pad . The vet gave us a steroid cream to apply twice a day. The growth appeared a week ago and seems to be going up and down in size. We put a sock on his foot to stop him licking it as it can bleed and looks very red and angry. The vet has said he will have a a look at it this saturday to see how it has responded. Has anyone else had experience with this type of thing ? I am trying not to think ahead too far and also not to be negative but I just want to know what treatment to push the vet for.
Thank you jo

I have seen something similar on a little old dog, which her vet said was a cyst type thing caused more than likely by a grass seed. It also looked very red and angry and the vet wanted to remove it,but because of the age of her dog she has refused.Maybe it is nothing like that on Buddy ,but just felt to share it as it could be worth an ask. Hope he goes on ok on Sat Jo, and, that it soon gets sorted for him, as it must be so painful where it is . Carol xxx
