Ok so I wormed Seamus yesterday morning with a little of his food. He had a little more food yesterday teatime. 1.30am he had me in and out of the garden eating grass and being sick which has carried on all morning. His stomach is now empty as its just spit and grass now!! Ive had to wash 4 lots of his bedding and wash to 2 bits of carpet!! Whats the best thing to give him now for his sore tum over the rest of the day?? A tired ( stuck to the washing machine) mum!!! (((yawn))) Annette

Interesting, that happened to me a couple of weeks ago, 2 out of the 3 were sick after worming. I left them till the next day (they were sick late afternoon) then gave them a tiny amount of bland food like you would post op. They were fine and back to normal later in the day with very clean beds Dogs are such fun aren't they at times like this Must admit it's the first time it's happened in years of worming but I'm dreading the next time. Annette, has he had much less food than usual and is the "sick" a sort of yellowy bile?
If so, he's not had enough to eat and the stomach acids are upsetting his stomach, causing him to be sick. It's likely he's just very hungry and you need to give him some food.
Is there any reason he only had a little food with his worming tablets and only a little in the evening? Mine just get them in a normal meal and I don't change their eating pattern at all.

What worming tablets did you give him? Its just that Joe was always wormed with Drontal but twice he was sooooo sick after them. I changed him to panacur for a while but completely forgot last time and ordered drontal for him. I tried instead of giving them with his meals, I wormed them at lunch time with just something to put the tablets in and be was absolutely fine. Sue

Poor lad.
Why do vet medicines companies and vets send us home with things that can have the most unpleasant side effects without the slightest warning that your poor pet might be in for the most ghastly side effects.
Jazz tolerates Drontal well.
But our poor old cat (aged nearly 20 when she died) was violently sick whenever she was wormed and whatever drug they used. In the end I wouldn't let the vets worm her - she spent most of her life indoors or in the sterile confines of our garden so she was unlikely ever to be exposed to the risk of worms and on a balance of probabilities we preferred not to.
The classic remedy for nausea is bland bland food - chicken and rice usually. Is there anything plain and bland you could tempt him with?
Our cat experience taught us that the nausea might continue for a day but will soon pass once the drug is out of the system. Chin up!

My Hattie was sick with Drontal, so had Panacur instead. All mine (other than Scout) now have Milbemax with no ill effects. I don't think I would use the same wormer if it made one of mine sick, because as well as the effect on the dog, I'd be worried it hadn't done its job

Ty has been sick following Drontal twice, so now is on Panacur and no problems as yet. Ax

Lexi was really sick on drontal as well. He has Granofen now.
Lily is fine with the drontal so she's still on that.
