We've just been watching last nights Martin Clunes program about dogs. Gracie, who has only got 1 eye was glued to it , she was listening intently and her eye seemed to get rounder and rounder then when the dogs were pulling a sled, her head suddenly started to wobble, not shake, from side to side. We got her off the sofa and it stopped then started again and her front legs were a bit trembly but she walked outside fine but was poking her tongue in and out. She got really excited as I put her lead on, jumped in the car fine (straight to vets) then her head stopped wobbling and gradually she stopped trembling. In the 10 mins it took to the vets she recovered totally. He examined her and everything was fine, said could be a form of fit caused by the TV images, doesn't think its anything to do with her heart or ears. Suggested we have a fasting blood sample done tomorrow to rule out a metabolic disorder but he doubts it is, but no idea really. We've never had anything like this before, it's scared me to death . Anyone had anything like this happen? She is almost 3 yrs old and otherwise fit and healthy. Nothing different has happened today, I've double checked and can't think of anything toxic she could have eaten or anything. Thanks, Vicky

when our bridge baby Lucy used to have fits it started just like that for a minor one, sort of licking inside her mouth as though she was very thirsty, and the dilated pupils. then after ten minutes she would lapse into a major fit. she started with them aged 2 and lived to 16 , afterwards she came round pretty quickly. hope it turns out to be a one off,but it can be very unnerving the first time. keep well gracie roox
