Do you think she needs to be sick? Open the door quickly Mine do the same and won't come when called .... they eat geraniums, grass or anything they can get into their mouths - then they're sick!

Answer.... hell yes. It looks like a scene from the excorsist, but the Meglet is running around wagging her tail like she just won a gold medal. Ho hum... thanks for the support guys.

Glad she has been sick and is feeling better. Word of caution generally for all though IF you do suspect bloat get the dog to the vets asap!!! You usually have only around half an hour before the gut is irreversibly damaged.

Is there any kind of time scale for risk of bloat? I mean, I know about the no exercise for an hour after eating thing, but for example, 6 hours after eating could a dog still suddenly show symptoms? (it's a hypothetical question, don't worry )

I think when it comes to suspicions of bloat the answer is get your hound to a vet, if its not bloat its a relief and if it is then you've got a chance if you act immediately. I've doe that with Bertie in the past, turned out to be trapped wind and a good fart when the vet stretched out his back legs he was right as rain!
