I really feel for you. As a dog lover it must be hard enough for you to accept that a dog has died at the hands of your hounds let alone the thought that you may be prosecuted or worse, especially when you had taken every precaution. Lets hope that the owner involved stands her ground and isn't pressurised into any action. Loads of good wishes to you and your pack

What a terrible situation for you to be in after you've done so much to bring your dogs on. I hope it all turns out OK. It's generous hearted of the owner of the little dog to still love your dogs ... I hope her feelings get taken into account. Do let us know how things go. You sound like a responsible owner and not someone who should be hassled by the police. Let's face it, there are plenty of unresponsible ones out there who should be!

I think the police could be so interested because someone was bitten in the attack - albeit the dogs' owner when trying to separate them. I feel so sorry for you and for the little dog's owner.

Yes, that is why they were interested in our case, however if you put your hand inbetween fighting dogs then you're highly likely to get bitten as I found out when I stupidly stuck my hand between Indy's snapping jaws! Imo that does not make a dog a danger to humans. Hope you've managed to find some legal advice.

I'm so sorry, for you your pack and the little one who died. No wonder you are distraught and have lost confidence. I think most of us have experianced to a lesser degree the horror of a hound suddenley being triggered into attack and understand how you feel.
Desperatley hoping the situation can be turned round.
Sending massive good thoughts
Sue x
