Hi folks Does anyone use PlaqueOff? I was thinking about buying some for my cat and my little terrier - I can't get within a mile of them with a toothbrush Is it any good? Where is the cheapest place to buy it? Any comments appreciated.... Thanks, Vix x

I've just started to use it. It says that results can be seen in 3-8 weeks. So I don't know how good it is yet!

Hi. Have been using plaque off for over 2 years now on my greyhound and also my small cross and would not be without it. Excellent stuff. Hope you are happy with it when you try it. X

Just out of interest, how big a donation do they give to Gap?
I've just bought some Plaqueoff this morning from Pet Drugs Online for £6.80 (last month it was only £5.79) with free p+p. I notice Vet UK are selling it for £7.45.

I use it with mine, one has chronic gingivitis and it really helps (along with denta sticks and teeth leaning once a week!) really loosens the stuff which is otherwise immoveable without expensive veterinary dentals and anaesthetic, which we can both do without!

About three weeks ago (thanks to a thread on here and Nettie for sending me some) I started to use plaqueoff on Flash's teeth. For the first couple of weeks I did not notice any difference, but in the past week it has been fantastic It has loosened the plaque on his teeth considerably. Teeth that were completely brown before now have considerable parts that are white, well yellowish . What it does is loosen the plaque and then you have to remove it. I use a dental chisel first to dislodge it (available on this site but sorry I cannnot remember where) and then I brush them with dog toothpaste. His teeth are still not good (despite removing at least a teaspoon of plaque off his teeth), but they are sooooo much better than they were. I do now feel confident however that if I continue to use it I might be able to dislodge more and hopefully avoid six monthly dentals that in practice only involved them extracting more and more of his teeth. It is certainly worth a try. As explained to me on this site like people some dogs have good teeth and some don't; I know I will always have problems with his teeth but at least this has helped with the progression of his teeth problems. Good luck, Mary XX

Wouldn't it be easier just to give them a raw or roasted large marrow bone to chew on or is there some reason for not doing this? I mean the dog of course, I don't know anything about cats teeth. My recently adopted 9 year old girls teeth looked quite dirty but after chewing on a bone a few times they are almost completely plaque-free now....and she enjoyed it too!
