I'm thinking of getting a kong for Lottie to play with while I'm out. So I googled and found that kongs come in many types, shapes and sorts of rubber. Do I get her an original shape one or some sort of treat dispenser? Does she need a red one or a new senior one for light chewers. I don't think she needs a black one. And what size? The size guide says large but I've found in the past that size guides for all sorts of things overestimate the size of a greyhound. Lottie is small, as greyhounds go, and not a big chewer. Whaddyafink?

I love kong products but have found that the lazy greyhounds find the origonal kong too much like hard work unless they are real foodies. The best all round treat product they do in my experiance is the goody bone and I wedge a tripe stick in each end. The goodie bone is also cheaper and eaiser to refil and keep clean. Kong also make the best squeaky toy on the market the wubba, there pricey but go the distance. I've tried tuffies but the squeakers are so well protected there not loud enough.

Cerys loves her "origional" Kong, i stick treats and all sorts in it, she has a right good chew and licks it to death! I sonetimes stick chicken in there or even chicken liver, it keeps her good for ages. She has a Kong Bone thing too which also loves.

Zip is a small male greyhound and not a chewer as such but a real foodie and he loves his red kong. I fill it with cream cheese or peanut butter and then freeze it to make it last longer. He loves his treat ball too but it only take him a couple of mins to empty that!!!!!

Hi my hound loves his Kong, but will give up very easily. He has an original red kong, I think wolf size. he won't play with any other toys at all. I bought him the wubba, but it lasted about 30 seconds before it was ripped to shreds! He's not normally a chewer, but if the mood takes him he can.
Peanut butter and dog biscuits go down very well in our Kong!

We've just bought our 2 a black kong each. Phil is an extreme chewer, he's chomped through every single toy we've bought them within a few mins! The kongs seems to be holding out well though! If you are thiinking of getting one do it!!!! Paris is'nt usually bothered about toys but it kept her amused for ages yesterday. Nothing like a little food to make something really interesting eh!

I'd go for the red original kong if she's not a desperate chewer. You can also stick them in the dishwasher.
