And i mean by the bucket fill......
Every night we walk a hour with a friend and her 2 labs (1 black and 1 yellow) the black although, pulls her arm off is fine and doesn't eat grass (anything else that she can find, but not grass.) Her yellow one sally, eats it non stop. you can see her looking for it and when it comes close she will dive at it will walking past it. I'm sure if you put it all in a bucket she will eat it. She well also eat the roots and anything else that is in it.
My mate has only had her about 6 months. The vet thinks she could be between 2 and 4, although she could be older. She did come with a bad case of worms.. She was locked in a stable, and bread from. Weather this has anything to do with it?
She is never sick afterwords but the way she is going there will be no grass left is Bicester.

My dogs are eating grass madly ..... lovely fresh spring growth at the moment! There are various different thoughts as to why they do it, but it has never done my dogs any harm ..... one or two like geraniums too

Mine are also going mad for the grass atm. I took them in the park the other day and a foreign family stopped me to ask me about them. The man made me laugh cos I could hardly understand him but I think he thought they were some special breed cos all of them were eating grass whilst I talked to him. He just kept pointing and saying "Dogs don't eat grass" Sue

All mine are 'making like cows' at the moment.
Having to extract a foot long clump of grass from Rio's bottom wasn't very funny though!

Foxy has a favourite corner of the garden where the grass grows without being distrub by anything other than her big mouth .
Agree with the swinging in the wind turds too, hate that bit.

My dogs do two different sorts of grass eating - the grass eating they do at this time of year where they chomp away on the spring growth seems to be simply because they enjoy it. They home in especially on certain places and certain types of grass. It's a bit frustrating when I take them to the field for a good run and they just stand there grazing like cows! It doesn't seem to make them sick, but yes, the effects on the other end can be erm interesting I've also had the odd time when one of the dogs has gone out into the garden and started frantically eating grass, tearing it up by the roots and being quite manic about it. That seems to be a sign of a dodgy tummy and they will usually be sick afterwards.
