We have just rehomed a lovely girl greyhound and are a bit worried that she only has a wee three times a day. Is this normal? We had a westie before who frequently went to the toilet. She was spayed last week and has settled in with family life brilliantly, we have no other worries. Thank you

When they are settling and still a little bit wary they tend to hold their bladder for longer. I shouldnt worry about it to much they are naturally bone idle dogs. What you also tend to find is that they hold urine on walks to begin with until they are familiar with the area and only toilet when at home in the garden. She will probably start to go more frequently when she has settled in a bit more.

Thankyou for your reply we will stop worrying now. Poppy has only been with us for four days and as you say things are still a bit strange for her so hopefully she will settle in more in the next few weeks.
