For North
He has been in rescue for over 18 months now. Laura was contacted by a trainer who had a paralysed greyhound who had been left in his kennel, it was said after a reaction to his vaccine. It was North.
After a year of rehabilitation, physio, and vet visits North was up and about fully, it was then he decided to recapture the puppy years he never had. He has learnt to play and run (allbeit in a style peculiar to North) and is a very happy bouncy soul.
He will need a home that can accomodate a bouncy dog of this size, a similar bouncy female would be lovely but not essential. He is happy to play for a while and then like most greyhounds laze the day away.
North is not incontinent but when he needs to go he needs to go.
He would not be homed with children under 10 due to his bounciness, he is fine with kids but would knock them over, also for this reason no infirm people. No small dogs for the same reason. NOT cat friendly. He would also not cope with slippery floors.
Ok now this sounds like a lot of requirements but he is such a special boy a real fighter for life. He deserves a chance.
We would prefer him to be homed in the Kent/Essex/Surrey/Sussex Area, any surgery he would need in the future would be payed for if done at our own vets under our authorisation.
Homeopathic vaccination only.
Call Laura on 01689 833103 or Lisa on 01782 544728. Full back up would be provided for North during holiday periods by either Houndsavers or Greyhound Gap depending on area he was being fostered/homed in. North really does need to be in a home now preferably with another sighthound, he has spent way to long at Laura's and is still a very young boy.
