Elsa needs some urgent help in her journey from Aldershot to Stoke on Trent – and certainly has to move by no later than June 22nd.
Elsa is a 14 year old Dobermann x German Shepherd girl, described as a complete sweetheart, Elsa is very friendly and well behaved, good with people of all ages and also other dogs.
She is microchipped, vaccinated, spayed and has been treated for worms and fleas
Route is A325, A321, A4130, B480, B4009, M40, M42, M6, A500, A519, A525, A34 Total of 165 miles & 3hours 8 minutess approx
However we have offers for beginning and end of the journey and in order to complete this run just need someone who is able to pick Elsa up from Milton Keynes and take her to Hilton Park Services (near Birmingham) on the M6 (approximately 60 miles) or any part of on Monday 18th.
Elsa is legally owned by The Oldies Club and liability cover is in place. Transporters are asked to advise their insurers that they are transporting dogs for rescue (we have not known anyone be charged for this) and full transport guidelines will be sent to anyone who is able to help with this run.
Thankyou for your anticipated support

Unfortunately this run didn't happen on Monday & we are now looking at other options.
One is to go back to the original route where we have possible offers for an evening run from Warwick services on the M40 to foster home & need help from Aldershot to Warwick services to arrive for 6pm.
Another is to look to go via Milton Keynes / M1 again
Elsa must move by 21st June. If anyone can help in any way please let me know when / where you are available.
Thankyou for your anticipated support.

Thankyou for your interest / offer of support. I have had another possibility for Thursday via PM here on Greyhound Gap this evening and the fosterers partner has Thursday off work apparently so this is looking promising.
Will have a look at how best we can fit these together & get back to you shortly.
Thanks again Ian

Thankyou Julie / Lisa / Cadbury for your various posts & pms. I appreciate your support.
We have various offers for bit in various places but at the minute it looks like the best fit may be
Julies OH who is going to Great Barr anyway this Thursday and Cadbury who offered a run to Stoke yesterday. This would mean Elsa, who is a lovely girl but elderly could be moved in just one change over.
Elsa's current fosterer however starts work fairly early (8.30) and so we may need to sort something out on that.
I don't know the area well and so Julie though I know you said anytime perhaps you could let me know what time your OH was ideally planning to travel & whether you were meaning he would need to pick up from foster home in Aldershot or a suggested meeting point?
Thanks again

Finally sorted I am picking Elsa up in Aldershot at 1.30 tomorrow. Should be in Great Barr at 4pm. Cadbury have pm'd you the address, it is only a couple of mins of J7 on M6, but can pop over to the Holiday Inn on opposite side of junction if you want.

I am just doing The Transport form & will send over to Karen as discussed. Includes contact no.s for Michelle & I should you need us but Elsa is said to be a real sweetheart & shouldn't cause you any problems.
Thanks so much for your help with this one everyone. Thread can now be locked thankyou.
