Hi! We have the opportunity of taking 4 or 5 greys from Ireland to their new homes/fosters located near our branch in Norfolk on June 2nd. We have a relay organised in Ireland to the ferry, but are missing the link between Fishguard and the M25. (To the M11 would be even better! ) It is also the 'night shift', so the dogs won't be leaving Fishguard until 1am! If anyone can help, please Contact: jill@kerrygreyhounds.co.ukor Tel: 01263 512699. We don't want to miss this transport slot, since the sooner these greys are moved then the more can be saved from our urgent waiting list. Thanks Sarah x Kerry Greyhound Connection

I have been talking to Jill and said I can pick up at Fishguard most times, will mail her and confirm I can do this weekend. However, I am limited as to how far I can travel from home and leave partner who is very frail.
Can take them across from Fishguard to the western end of the M4, which lops 2 hours of non-motorway driving off the journey for anyone coming to collect them.
However, if anyone offers who is from Carmarthen or Haverfordwest or somewhere similar along the route, take the offer as I am about 35 miles to the north of Fishguard,

Think I have managed to confuse everyone, including myself! The ferry leaves Rosslare at 9pm on Sat June 2nd, but arrives in Fishguard at 12.30am on the Sunday - June 3rd. Have changed the topic title to reflect this. Sarah x

So which part of the journey is still outstanding? I'm getting confused!

Fishguard to as near as possible to Cardiff (one and a half hours) and then from somewhere on the M4 round Bristol or Membury Services up to the M25.

Hi!
Due to a number of factors this trip has now been cancelled. HOWEVER, there is some good news for the greys. Four of them are booked with a transporter for June 8th, with the possibility of four more the following Friday. AND, the people who are waiting to offload their dogs to us have promised to wait (keep them alive!) for a few more weeks.
Thanks to everyone for their efforts in trying to make this happen. We have had many successful trips in the past, but this time it just wasn't meant to be.

Hi, Sorry I couldn't help - I'm trying to sort out a new car which would allow me to take that many dogs but my current car is fairly small and just won't fit that many. Glad you're managing to get them sorted. xx
