We need to move 2 JRT's from one foster home to another before Friday please. Ideal day would be Thursday 19th April as the lady works. If we can manage to sort out the run for another day though she may be able to work with us. So please offer to help, whatever days you are free and we'll see what we can come up with.
Full details of this pair will be given including piccie. These dogs are legally owned by The Oldies Club and we have full liability insurance. However we ask all transport volunteers to please contact their motor insurance company and advise they are using their vehicle to help rescues on a voluntary basis. There will be a minimal charge or no charge at all. Up to now I haven't heard of anyone being charged for this.
Dogs must be kept secured safely in vehicles but not to the point of strangulation and special care needs to be taken when placing them into or releasing them from vehicle so that they can't run off. As there will always be 2 individuals at every stopping point this shouldn't be a problem.
I will send all volunteers the Oldies Club transporting guidelines.
Penny & Bonny are 10 year old long haired JRT's. They travel well in the car as long as they are properly restrained. They are both vaxed, microchipped, flea and worm treated, spayed and have been vet checked.
They need to be moved from:
Aldridge, West Midlands, WS9
to Newport, Gwent NP19
Full route is:
A148, M6, M5, M4, A455 taking just under 2 hours.
If you can help please state which days you are free and where you could pick up from and take to either side of your journey.
Thanks Michelle The Oldies Club x

There are no restrictions on time at all as both parties free whenever thanks.
If anyone can pick up from Aldridge and take further than Frankley Services please shout. This is still the only offer I have in at the moment.

I can take them over the bridge for you if you like - i have a tag so will save the £5.10 toll. I'm in work that day but if you let me know the time i can arrange to be in that vicinity.....

The lady collecting from Aldridge can fit in with your around 5.00 ish timing Amy in face she has said it suits her better.
I assume loubyloo and ljm know each other but I don't know who you are so please can you both state exactly where you could meet up either end of your journeys and the timings you can help. ;)Then I can work out if I have any links missing. Thanks folks.

I've told the lady she needs to meet you around 5.00 ish and she has said that's fine but I have no idea where you are taking them to as I need Louby and ljm to say where they can meet up so we know we have this sorted lol. I think you would be meeting up with ljm Amy judging by the profiles and then they will meet up with loobyloo. Can you please confirm exact meetups please folks.
I have also had a late possible offer in tonight which is not concrete. A lady has said she might go to Wales from Durham on Thursday. She won't know until tomorrow. If so she can do the whole run. I won't know myself until tomorrow night. So if she can't help we could be stuck.

Okey dokey here is where we're at. I have no idea at present if we have any links missing.
Corrine and Amy are meeting at Frankley around 5.00ish. They have now been put in touch with each other and will finalise arrangements including exact time.
Amy please can you confirm where you can take them to asap.
I'm in work at the moment so have pmd everyone about this run. Loobylou and ljm I need to know asap where you can meet up either end of your journeys please. Then I can work out if I have a link missing at all.
I hope to have this finalised early evening as I have another 2 runs I need to get working on and you all obviously want to know what you're doing.
The lady in Durham is going to the M5 which we have covered here anyway.
I will send details about the dogs including a pic and our transporting guidelines to everyone who takes part in this. We do ask volunteers to let their motor insurance companies know they are transporting on a voluntary basis. There should be no charge for this. Haven't known anyone to be charged yet. The Oldies Club have full liability insurance but if anything is deemed to be your fault you will need to be covered.
Thanks everyone this really is appreciated.
