Her ladyship has always been a licker but just recently has licked her front paw between her middle toes raw, looks really red on the web with a sore spot on the joint of her toe (will try to get pic if don't understand), I've bathed it to keep it clean, distract her if I see her licking. Other than bandaging which don't think will stop the 'habit' is there anything else I could try

Marie have you had it looked at to check it is just habit and not a small foreign object that has entered under the skin maybe a thorn or piece of splinter? You may not know if it has as it will heal over very quickly and it can be itchy and annoying as the body will want rid.

have had a good look in under and around both toes and there is nothing other than what lloks like she has grazed her skin with the constant licking. It isn't as red on the webbing but if I don't stop her I know it will be red within a few licks.
Will bathe it again before work and if no better when I get home will give vets a ring
