We all know what they say about greyhounds and lurchers, you can never just stop at one! But we also know, for various reasons, that sometimes it's just not possible to take on one more.
Well now you can fulfill your greyhound and lurcher craving as much as you like by adopting a crochet hound!
The colours available to choose from are white, white and fawn, white and black, dark brindle, dark fawn with dark brown horizontal stripes (a version of brindle), blue, light fawn and black with a dark grey nose.
Here are some examples of crochet hounds that have already been homed.
Dark fawn and dark brindle.
White and fawn.
Light fawn.
Blue.
White and black.
If you want to adopt more than one then look how well a pack of crochet hounds gets along!
A crochet hound is anywhere in size from 12 - 16 inches, so they really don't take up that much room, and due to their very special genes (wool) each one is unique in looks and character.
They're very quiet and undemanding hounds who get along with all other breeds as well as small furries and are especially child friendly. They cost almost nothing to feed and exercise requirements are minimal but they must have a daily supply of cuddles to remain happy and healthy. ;D
The adoption fee for one hound is £10 with postage and packing of £1.10.
If you would like to adopt a crochet hound then please send a PM to Sharen (Gap name Sharen) stating how many you would like and in which colours from those listed.
To pay you can use paypal: treasurer@greyhoundgap.com When you pay by paypal, Greyhound Gap is charged a fee for that service. We therefore kindly ask you to add a small amount to cover the cost of those fees. Paypal charges us as follows:
1.4% of the total amount paid + £0.20 GBP
For example, if you were sending £10 you would add: 1.4% of £10 = 0.14p + 20p = 34p.
Or you can send a cheque to:
The Treasurer
Greyhound Gap
1 Thatched Cottage
Camp Road
Wimbledon Common
London
SW19 4UR
When paying please state clearly what it is you're paying for (the name of item, how many, what colour and the total price) otherwise the Treasurer's head explodes and that's no good for anyone, especially Angela.
Very many thanks to Sharen for taking the time and effort to do this for Greyhound Gap and the dogs. ;D
100% of the profit from the crochet hounds will go towards helping the many dogs that come into Greyhound Gap's care.
