3 men abandoned a Saluki 5 miles from Newbury.
She Is being looked after by an acquaintance of mine tonight.
Saluki welfare have been informed.
Is probably 2 - 3 years old - in good condition and very friendly with people and dogs.
Appears to be in milk !! Was found in an agitated state (there seemed to have been boxes in the van - it's just possible they could have housed puppies ! Saluki was distraught, whining and howling, but has settled down quite well. Ravenously hungry.
gold/cream, freckled feet.
If anyone reads this tonight and knows of a stolen Saluki who fits the picture please let me know.
Saluki Welfare No. is Ann Blake - 01727 823 3360
The person who is housing the bitch tonight is Deb on 0776 956 4055
I have pics, but do not know how to put them on here - if anyone is interested, please mail me and I can send then that way.
Will stay on line for a while in case anyone is there !!
Really sorry if I have done any of this incorrectly, but needed to get it done quickly.

Just to update you on the Saluki abandoned nr Newbury last month: She is still with us, has put on weight, is already sleek and well muscled, and has such a happy disposition. Always smiling! she's settled in a treat, she fits in wonderfully with our lot, and has a home for life with us unless she is claimed. She is still timid with some strangers and other dogs, but is relaxed and totally at home with our 2 & 4 legged family, cat included.
Lastly but sadly, only a couple of days after she came to us, someone found a litter of dead newborn pups a similar colour to her, only yards from where she was handed over - I will leave it to you to ponder on what should happen to people who can do this sort of thing.
