A lurcher was seen today in the Weymouth area, he's very skinny and is wearing a muzzle. This is the description I received:
He was about 27" at the shoulder, a light brown colour all over and he was short coated. He had a light brown leather collar on with silver tags on and was wearing a plastic "cage" muzzle. He didn't look very old, about 2 or 3 yrs old. He was very, very skinny. We saw him on the fields at the edge of East Fleet Farm, Chickerell (nr Weymouth) initially and then he headed towards the Army shooting range (also in Chickerell).
Can anyone out there help in anyway or do you know of anyone missing a lurcher. It sounds like time is imperitive for this chap. He was very shy and although he followed he kept his distance from this lady and her dogs. They tried to catch him but couldn't, the local dog warden has been informed.
Kaye at lurchersearch is also trying to notify as many people as possible and if anyone is in a position to catch this boy it should be done.
The most worrying thing is that he is still wearing a muzzle.
