Love this show-loads of beautiful dogs of all shapes and sizes and always a good laugh. Day one : Jem absolute star all day , didn't gob off at anydog ,Lady typical saluki princess, Annie , who treated us to her earsplitting song throughout the day especially when she caught sight of the lure coursing and the Great Galumph, who just loved everyone and everything! Beautiful weather , but people just not spending their money except to buy cool coats-they must have made a small fortune. Day two: Annie's song replaced by Happy ! Ivy came along what a bundle of joy she is Empty pitch next door was filled with birds of prey. Poor Jem , that was just too much for her and she ended up in the back of the car with a towel draped over to obscure her view. Meanwhile, the Great Galumph was a demonstration dog for our other neighbours, who do reiki, massage and holistic canine medicine. Sunday is lurcher day and we saw loads of beautiful pointies. We owe many thanks to Dom and Dianne H whose collars sold very well and quite a lot of Deb's collar charms went to new homes too. We had a bit of interest in rehoming and our stall was also supporting Pet Blood Bank and giving out their leaflets. As ever our hounds were wonderful ambassadors for the breed and Guinness taught loads of people the joy of the greyhound lean. No tombola this year, but a luck dip did net us an unheard of £20! Total amount raised was £355.
