This falls on 26th-28th April 2013. I would suggest the Saturday normally but apparently they hold a dog walk on the Sunday, meeting at the bandstand. I reckon this would give us an opportunity to reach a receptive audience! So, what do we think? Anyone up for a collection on Sunday 28th April? Or would the Saturday be more convenient for volunteers? Let me know and I'll book it! www.whitbygothweekend.co.uk/

If you give me a nudge nearer the time. I will pop down with our hounds and give a hand the bandstands usually a good place to collect, also I don't know how you are fixed but a tombola is quite a good pull too,

Forgot to say you can usually get what the locals call dockend near the tourist information centre for tombolas too,to get these you have to apply to the harbour boarding think with your charity number on gap headed paper

Thanks. I'll go for the Sunday as I think that will give us the best shot at fundraising with the dog walkers.
Loopol, thanks for the suggestion but I don't know how I'd get the prizes for a tombola. I've got lots of 'precious items' that would go for a bric-a-brac stall but I don't know how worth while that'd be. I'll have to have a think on it.

Think we should need about 100 prizes if memory serves right , but will check this out
