rescueaidforanimals.forumotion.com/t9568-2-urgent-poundiesThis is cross posted posted with permission, as always.... I have been to assess an Akita at my local pound today and there are two dogs remaining on this weeks "overdue" strays. They are both brindle lurchers and are fantastic natured dogs (unfortunately we are full at Dunroamin). I know there are so many dogs needing spaces at the moment but if anyone has a space to squeeze one of these in or both that would be very much appreciated. They both appear to be between 12 and 18 months, lovely teeth and were found tied up together (abandoned) with a small amount of food next to them, they appear to be litter mates but are not dependant on each other and are kennelled seperately. The male is entire, female as stray unknown, neither are microcipped. Both are great on the lead, although this can't be a given as it is a pound situation, there were chickens and cats wondering around the pound tonight and there was no interest from either dog. Both appear to be fine with other dogs also. The female has a shorter tail than normal on a lurcher and it appears she has rubbed this against the kennel wall or similar as there is some fur missing. I can try to answer any questions through the dog warden and help to organise transport if anyone feels they could help. Pip Katie
