This guy was due to be PTS today.
I met a lady who works at the pound in Ballymoney, N.Ireland who asked me up to look at him.
He has thrown mostly towards greyhound but has a beautiful feathered tail and saluki type hips. He hasn't the best running feet I have ever seen on such a dog and he is laid back on the front left foot.
He is great with all other dogs and whilst I walked him he stared intently at my face whilst walking softy on the lead. I trimmed his claws and he never peeped.
He doesn't look like he has been mistreated and seems happily confident in human company.
A real gentle dog, I wouldn't think he'd be suitable for a working home due to his feet. If a home isn't found for him very soon he will be PTS as a matter of routine. Such a sorry waste of a beautiful and seemingly gentle dog
The pics don't do justice to his soft coat and his gentle nature.
He allowed me to kneel in front of him and cup his whole head in my hands. He relaxed and closed his eyes as I spoke to him. When I stopped he opened his eyes and looked right back at me.
Whenever I encounter this, which is quite often, I silently rage at the arseholes who think they should be breeding a litter out of their barely adequate bitch and throw the pups to whoever calls by their house.
This is where they all end up and the blue juice is their prize just for being born into the wrong hands.
I could drag the breeders and useless owners down here by their testicles and make them administer the act themselves, and it is worth the effort and it is worth the petrol money, but unfortunately illegal.
