A truly lovely man. Uri Geller, owned by Barney, an ex racing greyhound gives his backing to Greyhound Gap. Uri understands the importance of finding a safe haven and a place for the dogs to find sanctuary until such a time as they can be rehomed. Greyhound Gap deals with mainly death row greyhounds and lurchers from council stray holding facilities and prides itself in working with some very difficult rehabilitation cases. A property for them would mean much better scope and more dogs able to depend on their safety net. Greyhounds make wonderful pets. Uri emailed me back and offered me his contact numbers and asked that I call him today. He took the time to speak to me not once but twice and was so sweet. On top of all this Uri has offered us 4 limited edition boxed crystals each with a bent spoon in and a booklet he will sign to help with our fundraising. We need to work out now the best way to maximise their potential to help us raise funds. The kindness of strangers never ceases to amaze me but the kindness of a well known stranger who must be a very busy man on such a personal level has left me astounded & once again truly humbled. Uri also mentioned that on ITV on 26th July he has a tribute to Michael Jackson show going out and Barney the greyhound will be making an appearance so dont forget to tune in! ;D More details and updates on Uri can be found on his website www.uri-geller.comYou can also follow him on Twitter under gelleruri Uri if you do read this from the bottom of my heart and on behalf of all at Greyhound Gap and the hounds. Thank you x
