Koko is on the run, and her owner would welcome anyone with dog-catching know-how who can assist. Koko is an unusual type of ridgeback, there are sightings every day, we have a Doglost co-ordinator assisting on the ground, but this dog is giving everyone the slip. www.doglost.co.uk/Page.aspx?data=pzp8JrdCfxmOYLL7ThMH8cgDIBGNb_3527OBXgIvucPT1ZF5GXNTxJvsyTaueMZL_352orIf anyone is local and can assist owner who is living and sleeping on her trail round the clock, please call me on 07973 273838 or email owl@idnet.com and I will put you in touch.

Assistance no longer required, as Koko has taken up residence at a private golf club and a trap has been obtained. The club people have given permission for owner and anyone with him to enter the premises at any time. He is being helped by the local Doglost co-ordinator and her son, and our most experienced trapper is now on the case. Paws crossed for a result soon, as dog is now in very poor condition.

Koko is still being seen most days, but has avoided the trap. She has picked up condition a bit as she has had a lot of food put down in various places, but she has a sore tummy from grass allergy. I went out with the search party last Sunday. It's a tricky area to catch a dog, as she is moving along hedges and very deep ditches and can get around unseen if she wishes. There is plenty of water, there is some thick woodland for shelter. I think she will be caught in the end but it could take ages

Come on Koko, stop running around girl and get yourself back to your dad who is going frantic looking for you. Please let today be the day this little girl gives up on her big adventure, and heads for home. Jackie x

Been following it as they don't want people to search for her, very sad, poor guy. Can't they be silly dogs at times

Gotcha Into the trap at last, and overjoyed to be back with her dad - even though she has been pointedly ignoring him for the past month as she skipped across the fields. Yes, they can be very silly at times, can't they Koko is a Thai ridgeback, v different from the Rhodesian kind and also v rare, but owner didn't want all kinds of naughty people rushing after her so put her on site as a RR. Brill trap work from TracyB.

Good thing this one has been caught. Vet has weighed her at 17 kilos and she was 29 kilos when she went missing a month ago. Apart from the weight loss she isn't too bad.
This may be closed now if you wish.
