The adorable looking little Ruby www.oldies.org.uk/?p=2027 has found her new home! Even better she will also have some dog company as she is joining another Oldie - Busy Whizee www.oldies.org.uk/?p=1983 in his new home
Ruby now just needs some transport from her current fosterer in East Grinstead to Norwich after which she will be able to move in with her new family.
Ruby travels well, enjoys company and can be handled without problem but must be given fair warning of your approach - She's 14 years old, her hearing is not so good, nor possibly her eyesight, and hence any sudden move to pick Ruby up could easily startle her. She is reported to have had a hip replacement approximately 6 years ago, though this has not caused her any problems since. Ruby does have a mild heart murmur but does not require any medication at present. Ruby is speyed, vaccinated, has been treated for worms and fleas and will be micro chipped before rehoming.
All in all a lovely old lady just waiting for her 2nd chance of a permanent home. Please help Ruby to her forever home if you can!
The route is A22, M25, A283, M25, M11, A11, A14, A11. B1108 - Approximately 147 miles / 2 hours 53 minutes in total.
If you can help in any way please post availability and what section you can cover. A Friday afternoon would be the ideal if possible.
Ruby is legally owned by The Oldies Club and liability insurance is in place. Transporters are asked to advise their insurer that they are transporting rescue dogs on a voluntary basis - we have not known anyone be charged for this. Oldies Club full transport guidelines will be issued to anyone who is able to help with the run.
