We received a call the other day from a guy in Rotherham, his neighbours had the sweetest natured what was described to us as Saluki (all will be revealed) She hasnt been well cared for and was kept in the conservatory, anyway the neighbours split up and the dog was left with the man who wasnt coping. He was going to put her into a local pound with a pts policy so the neighbour stepped in and contacted us. He isnt able to keep her because he has a child with severe cerabal palsy, but wanted her safe for the meantime.
As we are full, we said we would get someone over to see her thinking if she was Saluki we could at least get some photos and contact Ann Blake. Well she isnt and she isnt a bonifida lurcher either, what she is is a stunning mongrel girlie.
She is around 7-8 years of age, a bit reserved when she first meets you, but soon comes round and is a happy, waggy, bouncy girl they are currently feeding her up as she was quite thin. She doesnt mind being left and has been friendly with other dogs out on walks.
At the moment they are happy to keep her for around another week but cant for any longer as its putting an added strain onto the home which they arnt dealing with.
We arnt opposed to bringing in the odd dog that isnt a greyhound or lurcher but we have them in the pound currently waiting to come out so cant offer an emergency place to Elsa at this moment in time.
Can any of the other rescues help?? Gap will help with transport and in any other way we can! She could well end up in one of the Northern pounds at this rate if we cant find her the help needed.
