Just had a phone call from a Greyhound rescue in Brentwood, Essex.........they're also full to bursting and someone is desperate to hand over an 11 month old Greyhound bitch puppy. They've nowhere to put her and need a foster home urgently before the owner does anything rash. Can anyone offer a temp. foster home down that way?
You can contact the lady from the rescue on 01268 733293 - her name's Jodie and she'll be able to tell you more about the situation.

I've suggested them and given the rescue shitloads of other numbers to try..........we have had an offer of a foster home (near you in Wilts, Ange) but the rescue want to keep her near them Keep thinking guys........

Kaye tried to ring Jodie and cant get an answer! So is the general concensous that Jodie is taking the dog on and wants a foster home close to her?? Only asking as you said the rescue wants to keep her close or do they want another rescue to take her on?? Just wondering!! If she is in immediate danger Bath Cats and Dogs Home may help but obviously the dog would become theres!

The way I've read it is that Jodie is taking the dog on and wants a foster home locally which is why none of us have been able to help. Nettie

I think what Nettie said is the scenario but.......I expect she would hand it over to another rescue if push came to shove......but that's just me reading between the lines. I've given her loads of numbers........but what's needed urgently is somewhere to stick the dog whilst its future is worked out
