Had a phone call just now from an elderly lady who's taken in what sounds like a young BT x Lurcher - found by the side of a road in a very bad state. She's had him treated at the vet's for mange, worms, fleas etc and is getting him fit again, but he's just too much for her and her hubby - she's got rheumatoid arthritis and hubby's got a heart condition. She's phoned a well known G&L rescue up here, who have said they've got no room and referred her to me. I've got 12 dogs in atm and am looking after my poorly mum
Is there anyone around the Wakefield area who'd be willing to either foster this dog for a while, or do transport if I can arrange for him to go into a rescue? He sounds a bit untrained, but she says he's got a lovely friendly nature and is very good with other dogs ........NOT cat friendly though!
Help!!!

AFAIK.........Thornberry AR are now going to take him in but the lady who's got him needs to liaise with them about when etc. We might still need some help with transport but I think Anna's going to do a sideways shuffle to help get him from Wakefield to Doncaster way.........I'll know more tomorrow night though

that sok he was an absolute babe a real cuddle monster and you could tell that the couple had really got attatched to him they just were not in a position to keep him which they would have liked. it was very hard taking him from such people who had cared for him the two weeks he had been there. anna.x.
