Hi, new to this group if anyone has any advice I would be very grateful, our beautiful girl Nina came home with us on the 1st Jan this year and she is perfect! I know she's in a moult right now but she has lost a bit of fur on her throat. I removed the house collar (it wasn't rough) and don't want to try another one right now, our lovely kennels suggested a bandana which is great but Im not sure if the collar was the cause or not. Anyone else had this happen? Aside from this very happy healthy girl.

Hello and welcome It is very common for greys to have hair loss, and thin hair on the throat is probably due to the collar. Personally, my dogs always wear a house collar in case they ever were to get loose but I know others who always remove them. They have martingale collars for wearing out walking. The house collars are very loosely fitted i.e. they easily come off over the dog's head. You can purchase velvet collars without clips (just an adjuster) which are lovely and soft to wear. Hope this helps.
