Can anyone advise on the best shampoo to use for him? He has bad dry skin so would like to use something that helps with that, I know greys are sensitive to products so wouldn't want to use anything that will irritate him!

Don't know about shampoo, but do know that a cod liver oil capsule a day leads to a lovely shiny coat and less scurfy skin.

Slight differerence from our friend Kay,cos we still use Evening Primrose capsules - lovely soft coats and usually not much dander.Admitted I am biased just cos I know oily fish capsules are good for my arthritis - BUT even 1 capsule a day results in umpteen trips to the loo!Perry has always been prone to loose stools - hence my reluctance.Cath

What a beauty. Sounds like you have been really lucky with him if the worst thing he does is sleep on your bed. I reckon plenty of dog owners would be happy to settle for that!!

Yes Sue - our 1st 2 greys took 1 look at the stairs,no thanks!Jem is quite happy with stairs, slept upstairs in her foster-home,so I had high hopes - but no.I'd rather be downstairs with my new brother.Still miss a snuggly dog on the bed.Cath

Luckily we live in a bungalow so any of the dogs we have had could get to the bedrooms any time they liked but funnily enough, of all the dogs we've had, only one ever got up on our beds.

All our dogs have always gone upstairs and on our beds! Maddie has sulked horribly because she wasn't allowed upstairs for 4 wks after her back op. When we opened the gate to let her she thought we'd made a mistake and ignored it until we were out of the room then sneaked up and got into the basket in the corner as if she was hiding!
