A work colleague is taking her pup to classes once a week and the poor pup suffers from car sickness there and back. The journey is about half and hour on country lanes each way. Apart from keeping her hydrated does anyone have any tips I can pass to my friend which may help the pup. The poor baby is shattered after the class anyway but being sick as well just wipes the little mite out.
Any suggestions I'll collate for her to try. Cheers.

I think the dog needs to go out in the car every day and make sure it's a nice walk at the end of the journey, preferably just a few minutes to start of with. She could feed the puppy in the car, or just put the puppy in the car for a few minutes as well as driving him/her to somewhere to walk that is lots of fun, and with rewards. Sometimes they can cope better on the rear seat or the front of the car, rather than in the 'boot'.

Thanks. Will pass this on for her to try. Hopefully the pup will "grow" out of it the more she gets use to travelling.

Some people find a ginger biscuit given half an hour before travelling helps.
