Lucy drags her back feet on her little walks and her skin is so thin and fragile now that it is getting sore. I am hoping the boots might help both problems but I am not sure of the size. Her feet only measure 2 inches across but surely a greyhound won't fit the smallest size? What size does anyone elses greyhound use please?

I wouldn't buy ruffwear ones. I got some - the right size but they just didn't stay on were not at all waterproof. I got some much much cheaper ones from Zooplus on Sue's (Andywillow) advice and they are really good, used them for various injuries etc as 3 girls all take the same size and once sprayed with shoe waterproofer they did stay dry to some extent. I suspect that there will be suggestions as to other types, I know Sue is experienced in dog boots. To get the size I stood them on paper and drew round the paw and measured it. If her feet are so delicate putting socks on first might be a good idea. I buy baby socks from Asda, the ones with a folded over top so they come up the leg and they have writing in rubber on the foot which help stop them slipping. You can get proper dog socks too. These are the Zooplus Boots www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/dogs/dog_clothing/footwear/330070

Thanks Vicky I had looked at those but I didn't know anyone who had tried them.

We've not lost one or had them wear out and they have had some use! You just have to get the knack of fastening them at first then they're fine. Even Bod has had them on his whippet feet when he had a big bandage on.

We bought Fern a therapaw boot from here link - size medium, on the advice of Sue (Andywillow), after she picked up an injury on her back foot. I would definitely recommend them.

Sounds like I am a dog boot freak! The cheap zooplus ones work brilliantly for Roy but I got some in Joe's size and they wouldn't stay on, he has therapaw boots which are fabulous for him. If its any help, Roy has the size 5 in the zooplus (whippet with the wonkiest feet ever!) and Joe has the T/F size in the therapaw, my girlie greyhounds would need the size down from him.
