Hiya, Just need a bit of advice x Cerys hit a rock at the beach today (daft dog) there was no squeal but once shed slowed down she was limping. She's still limping now. Shall I just leave it and see how she is in the morning m or shall I give her some metacam now and see how she is in the morning? What I'm trying to say is will the metacam "cover it up" so I won't really see how she is? Hope this makes sense x Advice please x

Yes, I'd get her comfortable for the night too. Sapphy has done that but she grazed her leg as well. Vet had a feel as she was limping next day too but it was fine. On lead for a few days. Hope Cerys is ok tomorrow

Hopefully she's just bruised it and she'll be OK after some rest As for the Metacam, my vet told me it was OK to use for a couple of months after the use by date. Hope Cerys feels better tomorrow. Janine x

I find giving some Ttouches helps a lot mine always need it now and then plus if necessary I give them some Metacam in their food. If no better arrange to see our vet for a check over. Greyhounds are such gentle creatures who because of long distance sight can knock themselves or twist a leg when they turn whilst running. Sometimes I find mine want me to cuddle them so they make out they have a problem, which once you have cuddled them and Ttouched by doing slow small circle motions with gentle light pressure. There is details about Ttouch online. I think the use by date is just the manufacturers being on the safe but wanting more sales side of things. Gently shaking should mix the contents again and get any air our of the liquid.
