Without a doubt to me it's the ruffwear webmaster but it's not cheap but they last forever and are virtually escape proof. They've just brought out a cheaper version but I haven't seen it or heard anyone's opinion of it. www.ruffwear.co.uk/best-sellers/webmaster-harnessSometimes if you keep googling it - especially this time of year you might find a slight reduction on them. Muddy Paws are very helpful re sizing but my greyhound girls with 30" chests have medium ones but there is masses of adjustment in them. Sapphy has one of these, have you tried them? They can get out of them though if they are escapologists! They also do The Perfect fit ones which I've never tried but I know some people here like them. dog-games-shop.co.uk/harnesses-fleece-lined

Ruffwear here too, we love them in our house, as Vicky says, escape proof and last forever, you have a handle on the back to grab with if need be. I wouldn't walk my 2 girl lurchers in anything else, I use a double ended lead, for extra control and to take the pressure off the neck when they pull. Not cheap but worth it

Ruffwear are fabulous, they really are escape proof, I do know of dogs that have escaped from the dog games perfect fit harnesses.

All four of my Hounds have Hunter harnesses made in Norway, they are nearly 99% escape proof and the way the clasp up means the Hounds do not have to step into them. You can get them in different sizes, they are adjustable and come in different colours. I bought the original ones from Zoars Ark pet & horse store in Neath but you can buy them around 40% online. The only problem is you really need two per Hound, one for when they are not wearing a warm coat and one when wearing it, otherwise you have to adjust them everytime depending whether they need their coat or now. They also come in two types, one of which has two extra rings as the Hounds are used in Norway to tow a small cart or sleigh, slightly more expensive than the type without the extra rings. Note they have a handle that you can grab if required and that has a ring to which I connect their lead onto rather than to their collar. The handle is also very handy as I can use my Hounds as mobile walking sticks, especially in very icy weather, before now I have had hold of two of Hounds harness handles when my arthritic knees are playing up. They really enjoy helping Dad in this way.

Another Ruffwear fan here too
Totally escape proof and doesn't cut under the armpits like so many other harnesses do . All my hounds have Ruffwear . My little lurcher is very nervous and she can escape from the Dog Games Perfect Fit Harness , ok if they pull forward , but pull backwards and off over the head it comes

But I have been parading Tabsi around in one of these with the misguided belief that they were fully escape proof Vicky!!! Tut! Do I need to but another one to put on the other end of her to make it full proof then? From a worried Tabsi owner!!!

I use a perfect fit on Bella, since she's still growing/ filling out it means that I may have to replace a part of it if it gets two small. It comes in 3 separate parts so you can mix and match to get the perfect fit, they are fleece lined and comfy and I can't see how she could get out of it if she tried. I vote for either Xtra dog fleece harness with a ring at the chest and on the spine with a double ended lead or a Mekuti harness and again with the double ended lead so you have two points of contact Julie x
