I think we as greyhound owners have it better than other breeds as a lot of people do understand about it being to protect all small furries be they pets or wildlife whereas with other breeds I think there is more of an assumption made that they are muzzled because they are nasty to people. Unfair but that's how it seems around here.

Well done for giving an oldie a much deserved hone our two are always muzzled when out , for my peace of mind one of mine is so laid back and docile but I know if a Yorkiie or something as small came wandering up on their annoying wander leads he would grab at it I don't care what other people think , but I will take the time to explain why if they ask , it's the ones who say " he/she just wants to play " ..........

Totally agree about muzzling .... the only other thing I'd add is that the lovely Trevor Cooper (Dog Solicitor) said in a lecture that if your dog is muzzled, off lead and has a go at another dog you could be said to knowlingly allowed a dangerous dog off lead etc etc etc SsssssOooooo if you do muzzle when off lead like I usually do then just tell people your dog gets a very poorly tum from all the rubbish he picks up and eats so that's why you have to muzzle him J xx
