Ooh, I forgot one of the most interesting thing our behaviourist told us.
Whenever Archie had a good walk, we would try to make it as exciting as possible, with lots of running around off-lead, treats and playing with toys. We thought we were showing him how much fun a walk could be. What our behaviourist said we were actually doing was making the difference between good and bad walks much too extreme. He said it was far better to have 50 boring walks, than to have 25 really good ones and 25 really bad ones.
As soon as he said it, it made perfect sense!
