My old boy Gordon has been poorly for the past week with diarrhoea. It started with my other greyhound Archie but after a couple of days he was fine but Gordon is still poorly. We have been to the vet and blood test show his liver and kidney are fine but he is protein depleted. He is currently on tramadol for pain and metronidazole. He is eating everything I put in front of him due to not getting enough protein from the food. I feed him natures diet and berrimans. He seems in discomfort when he does a poo. I'm really worried its cancer. I just want to know how I can make my special boy as comfortable as possible. I'm going to the vets later to pick up a prescription diet. She wants to see him again Monday and weigh him. He currently weighs 29.5kg and looks very thin. He lost weight at the start of the week as he wasn't eating much. He weighed 31kg in November of last year. Any advice greatly appreciated. I don't want to give up on him yet. He is still active and interested in his surroundings.
