But lots of dogs have just the same manky teeth as greyhounds. I saw a GSD in the vets recently with green teeth, it was awful, worst I've ever seen. I'd imagine it will be down to the condition of the mouth not the bred but I take your point Julie. Maddie had tonsillitis recently and her teeth are immaculate and always have been, there's not one bit of decay or tartar and they're brushed every night. They look like puppies teeth

I do hope the Bichon makes a good recovery, but I have had many greyhounds over the years, including a couple who had bitten other dogs and never heard of this.
Many greyhounds have rottten teeth and gums, if this was the issue with the Bichon surely previous incidents over the years would have identified a problem before now.
I hope they find the answer to the Bichon's problem but I suspect they are looking in the wrong place.
