We URGENTLY need to find this boy a permanant foster home!!! As has been explained thoroughly Whistler has a nasal noise when breathing. It does not effect him and he manages but the vacuum the hole makes when he breathes makes him sound like he is struggling for breath more. Last night being in a strange environment obviously he spent a long time panting which make the noise and the vacuum type sound worse. Wherever Whistler goes this will take a few days to settle down until he relaxes and gets into a settled pattern. Whistler has been FULLY vet checked, he has been intubated whilst operated on and castrated and was under for 2 hours ALL this indicates that he is fine and perfectly able to manage. He tolerates excercise well and has no sign at anytime of any blue fringing to his gums. He is a normal boy who has just been left with a deformity and disability due to his past life working but it does not mean he does not deserve a future, it should not affect his longevity. Whistler will become a SPONSOR DOG WITH ALL OF HIS COSTS MET FOR LIFE BY GREYHOUND GAP. He needs a permanant foster who will enter into his first days with a sensible, pragmatic and relaxed approach who will accept until he is fully settled it may look worse than it is. The kennel walkers can more than vouch for the fact that this boy has and deserves a quality of life. Whistler is the most loving, giving, gentle, sweet natured soulful dog you could ever wish to meet. He is good with dogs and walks fabulously on the lead and is very responsive and well trained. If you can find it in your heart to help Whistler please let us know. He is around Greyhound size and would best suit a home either as an only dog or with just a couple of other well behaved dogs as companions. Whistler does NOT deserve a life in kennels and we do not want to see that happen.
