greyhoundgap.proboards.com/thread/78317/assessment-month-old-lurcher-boyHe is 12 months old and recovering from a serious leg injury not that you would notice as he is full of bounce;. Sadly though the x rays showed that the tendons are becoming tight due to only being in a kennel so he needs out and regular excercise possibly some physio! He is brilliant with other dogs and is cat workable with cats that stand their ground! He would LOVE the company of another youngster to hoon about with. He will possibly need help with housetraining although he is clean in his kennel but has come from travellers so not been indoors! PLEASE anyone he is WONDERFUL and hysterically funny!

He's such a lovely muppet, he's definitely going to be one to sit or lie across your knee, once he's finished mugging you for kisses and cuddles

Just saw the post about Mo needing a foster home urgently. I have a saluki/ beddie/grey age nearly 11 months who is almost his double. She is a rescue too. I also have a rescue staffie cross who is 11, and a very confident rescue cat who rules the roost! Lillie lurcher loves all dogs and people, but needs someone around who is more her own age as Finn likes her but get fed up with her attention. My husband and I are young retires and therefore around all the time. I would love to foster Mo with a view to adopting if it worked out. I know home checks have to be carried out. We are only a few miles from Hope Rescue so maybe they have someone who could home check us again.

Hi Ali, Thanks for getting back to me. I filled in the form this morning and said that we were interested in fostering. Ironically on Monday I saw a red/tan saluki cross on Hope Rescue that was in the Newport pound and was coming to you tomorrow. I asked the pound if I could come and see him but they said once he had a rescue space arranged the process couldn't be changed. I then went on your website and saw Mo.I said to my OH, if only I'd seen your post earlier, maybe the people bringing Barley up to you could have been bringing Mo back to Cardiff too. Of course, that was very presumptuous of me! We might not be suitable anyway and things don't happen that quickly.
Hope to hear from you soon.

Val - I have picked up your form and will be calling you in the next two days.
Anyone who wishes to foster one of our dogs needs to go through the some process as those adopting dogs as we are always keen to make sure that we put the right dog into the right home - whether it is adoption or fostering. i will be able to discuss it with you more fully when I call you.

Lovely news for Mo so he can stretch those ligaments and get sorted. My sister was seriously considering having him on foster but it sounds like the beautiful fella will be sorted. He is a stunner and has been through so much already. If it wasn't for gap where would he be now. It is a scary thought.

Fingers crossed Mo is moving to foster next Saturday and will have four playmates and plenty of room to stretch those leggy pegs!
