I am not good at this sort of thing... I followed the instructions by dragging a FB pic and getting the .jpeg code. Pasted, highlighted and clicked the 'insert code' icon. But it hasn't worked?? Any ideas??

Did it! (wrong icon) Hi I am Holly Bell. We adopted Roly a couple of months ago, and I just wanted to give an update... He has settled in very well. I was prepared for lots of issues that I thought would come with a dog that had spent so long in kennels - but there was no need. He was quite aloof at first and was grumbly with our female black lab (Ruby) who can be giddy. But he has gradually just moulded into family life. He is a big love bear and gets snuggled right up to you on the sofa when he's in the mood. He has recently started playing with toys - even with Ruby. He gets on very well with our other lurcher, Oscar, who I think sees his as a really cool big brother.... the picture above pretty much sums up how they spend most of their day. So far we've found that he likes; The beach; playing silly lurcher games with Oscar; tickles down his back to make him silly; cheese burgers, french fries and donuts (treats from the seaside); wearing pyjamas in the car (otherwise he curls up really small); going to the the office with my husband; growling at dogs on the TV; Digging for moles (or Australia?); walking around in my Mums ornamental pond; and sunday mornings on our bed for a lie in. He's been really clean in the house, having cocked his leg a couple of times when he first arrived - since then he has been totally house trained. He hasn't chewed or destroyed anything. He enjoys a good walk in the morning, and then he just snoozes. In short - he is probably the easiest dog we've had - and has made a wonderful addition to our family. I will post more photos now I know how! Very best wishes Holly

Roly looks ace! Well done for giving a chance to a long term kennels resident. It's amazing how quickly they adapt to home comforts isn't it?!

For those who liked the pictures of Roly - here are a selection we have taken over the last few weeks... This is Roly stepping carefully into my Mums ornamental pond.... he wandered around up to him belly in lilly and treated it like a spa treatment! In my head I was telling him to 'get out!'... as I had Oscar 5 mins earlier.... but he investigated it so carefully and wandered so gently in the water I couldn't spoil his enjoyment! Daydreamer..... The three amigos! Airing his ear holes... Just being handsome... I mean like.... REALLY handsome! lol This was the day we decided to order coats!!.... More bouncing.... More lounging... Watch out squirrels!.. Stupid bitey face brother games... Roly really loves water .... Rols gets on well with my sisters dogs, including the Chihuahua (Mr Big)... And this is how they greet my husband when he comes in..... Roly is always patient and ends up with a good spot for a cuddle... Lounge lurchers.... The three amigos give the loveliest greeting when me or my husband come in...... I look forward to it as I come up the drive My husband, Robert, was not convinced we needed another dog ........... Now he's convinced.... well done Roly! (he even takes him to the office... and says he's a pleasure to have there.... even when he goes raiding bins under other peoples desks ) Finally - this is the Hiseocytoma on Rolys leg that gave us all a fright. For the record, over the 5 days we waited for our appointment with the oncologist, we gave Roly 1x piriton and 1x Rinatidine twice a day. I found the information on the internet and asked the oncologist if it was okay for me to give - which it was providing we took accurate measurements of the lump before we started. The lump started to reduce in size immediately, as did the redness and puffiness. Roly also stopped licking and messing with it so it started to dry up. Though these simple over the counter human remedies won't get rid of a Mast Cell Tumour (or Histeocytoma) it will stunt the spread though the rest of the body. I might be tell you something you all already know.... but I didn't and was amazed by the result. Sorry it's so many pics.... I am genuinely touched that so many people have wished Roly well in his new life with us. It's clear he is a special hound, and we feel very lucky to have him Holly x

My screen has gone a bit blurry. He looks so happy and content. I will always have a soft spot for him. He wasn't ready for a home when we adopted Bracken. X

That has made me cry with happiness.
As Bev said, it would be better to put future updates in Dog Talk as more people look in that section.
