I apologise in advance for Tia stealing cakes and dog treats. Of course I will pay, it doesn't matter how vigilant I am she always manages to grab a few fairy cakes from where ever we go. oh and I never get my lunch either she steals that too. The Droopy's girls are going to be out in force by the sound of it , mischief X 3 so far. I can't wait to see the 'Droopy Girls' struttin their stuff Are we gonna enter the hounds again -I wanna see em all slinky into the show ring like we did last year. I've borrowed another separate gazebo for the hounds to stay cool and we will have our dog van on hand for dog time outs to let the hounds have a break if they need it, or if the adults just need to hide The gazebo sounds great as it's supposed to be a hot day. Tia gets very whingy if she gets too hot, or cold, or bored, or hungry , or tired , ok she just gets whingy Seriously though it will be great for them to have some shade especially as we will have several black beauties with us. I'll try and remember to bring my trusty spray bottle to cool down any over heated dogs or human. We should def put them in a class or two , if it's not too hot for them. Just to show what fab dogs they are.

As this event is looming fast can I just check on timings please Tina. I seem to recall that last year we couldn't gain access until 10am, or am I dreaming on that score? Hope with it being drier recently I can get the trailer to our pitch to save lugging stuff from the car park, otherwise going to need pairs of hands as I've buggered my back and am struggling. Should be a good turn-out judging by the number of folks who have said they are coming, maybe the organisers will include a hound class this year. See you Sunday.

Hi Jackie Sorry for the delay in gettngback to tis. I have spoken with Joan the organiser and we can get on any time after 9a.m. We are on a different field this time, the 'front field'. Drive along Washbrook Lane, and turn left on the corner coming on to the large field. Joan is going to be there to point us in the right direction. For anyone needing any last minute info, my mobile number is 0777 349 1229 I'm really looking forward to seeing all the Gappers on the day, and catching up on news [it's getting exciting now!!] The collars have arrived, [thanks Samburns] as have some collar charms, and other goodies to sell. My neighbours have agreed to bake for me, and I will be fitting in some last minute baking as well. Fingers crossed we can raise a tidy amount on the day, we'll need to if they keep letting Lisa out on day passes, like today

Sounds like we are going to have more room, and easier access this year. Yippee!! Will try to be there for 9a.m., but if I'm late just start without me. Hope we are going to have enough hands at that time to help set up, but I'm sure that as always we will manage. Don't think I will have time for any baking as it looks as though I am going to be busy tomorrow with a transport job. Have sorted the collars etc. that I have, and I think I will search out some of the "Dogs Die in Hot Cars" handouts, might be appropriate considering the weather forecast. Looks like it's going to be a warm one. Tables, gazebos etc. all loaded up ready for the off, don't think I've forgotten anything.

I will be there between 10.30 and 11.00. Going to make sardine and liver cakes (treat size) in tubs so they are easy for people to get home without them getting squashed. Not looking forward to the smell of the liver cake but the dogs do love it.

Must be thinking along the same lines Tina, I've made sure th coolbox is clean and stuck the iceblocks in the freezer. Have various cold drinks I can bring as well as the usual flasks for tea and coffee, not sure I could survive a whole day without a cuppa no matter how warm it might get. Have a large water bottle ready to fill for the hounds and a large bowl, and have fished out the cool mat in case any of them feel the need, although our lot never did get the hang of it. Also a spray bottle, but again ours look at me like I'm mad if I try to spray them. If I think of anything else I will see if I can find room to stuff it in the car and bring it along.

Liver and sardine cakes made. Not the best idea making them with a hangover. Have nearly been sick three times.

You know what's going to happen Jackie.....we're going open the car door and all manner of stuff is gonna just spill out ...followed by a couple of startled looking hounds [woken up by the mayhem...he he] Guys, please don't worry what time you get there, the show doesn't start until 11 and I'm only going to be there ridunckulously early because I'm a morning person, and I can... Then, when you are all at your peak in the day, [at an actual reasonable hour ] I'll be the droopy one sitting with the 'Droopy's girls'

Seriously, not sure I'm going to be there spot on 9a.m, but will try to make it for before 10a.m at the latest. Just depends on how fast I can get my butt in gear.
