We have a lovely new lurcher called Mojo who is great running over the hills but often refuses to walk on the lead to the top of the road to get to the hills. We can put him in the car and drive him and he's fine, but ask him to walk some days and he point blank refuses. We think it is partly because he is on cat alert. He barks a lot if he sees a cat, but we also wonder if he is scared from his previous life. Sometimes he can be midway up the road and refuse to walk which is awkward and we don't want to tug him too much. We've tried coaxing him but if doesn't want to move, we have to pull him along. Once you get to the top and onto the hills he's no problem and happy to be out and about. He's such a fantastic dog and great with other dogs, we really just need some advice as to how to overcome this.

Hiya and welcome to the forum I just read your post about Mojo on his homing thread (as Joseph) Is this something that he had a problem with when he was fostered with Kelly, do you know? It might be an idea to give Lisa a call to have a chat with her
