Hello, Has anyone ever had any experience of Aspergillosis, a rare nasal fungal disease found in dogs with long noses. If so, have you used/had any successful treatment and what was it? Thank you.

Only heard of it in people ...I think then it's called Aspergillus and I understand it's a fungus in the lungs which eats away at the lungs which never replace ... not sure what if any treatment but someone I know who had it seemed to cope very well... maybe she caught it early?

No direct experience but when Herbie developed a difficult-to-diagnose cancer, we were referred to Cambridge Vet School - one of the potential diagnoses was aspergillosis, and they specialise in this. If you've got pet insurance, your vet might be able to refer you if you're able to travel?

Never encountered it in dogs - but am aware of it. In the lungs it can be managed/treated with Intrafungol (an oral anti-fungal treatment).
