I've contacted Durham Council for a collection around Christmas. They only have two dates left - 24th November or 29th December. Can I ask for a vote please from anyone likely to volunteer so I can apply for the most popular date? Thanks

24th Nov is the middle of our Mocks so I will be up to my knees in marking. That's almost irrelevant as at that time of year I'd only be bringing the Rent-a-hounds for no more than 3 hours anyhow, they get so cold quickly.
So, at this moment in time, we can do the morning shift on either of those days- I'd guess that the Nov one would be busier though

Thanks for this Cath. Looks like it might just be thee and me (and Bob and Bren, but that didn't rhyme!) so perhaps we'll just do half a day. I'll stay longer if it seems worth it, but as we have learnt from experience it does little good for a human to stand there on their own! I'll apply for 24th Nov. As you say, that might be busier and people hopefully won't have spent up yet!

Why don't we just do 11-2pm-ish as that was the busiest time last time.
Even if we get a few quid it's worth doing... plus Bob's not had pizza for ageeeeeees ;D ;D

I'll apply for 10am-4pm, just in case anyone else finds out they can make it, but if it's just us we'll do the hours you suggest. Remind Bob about the man who kept offering us free doughnuts last time!
