We have a renault clio and have removed the rear seats and we can easily fit 2 lurchers and a proper dog . We also have a Vauxhall Meriva and with the seats down the 3 dogs are very comfortable

We have four greyhounds and are lucky to have two cars; a 4X4 (Jeremy's) and a volvo estate (mine). We both agree the estate is better Why?, because the 4x4 is bigger but the estate does not have the height for them to stand up, so they settle down quickly and sleep all the way Maryx

I've just sold my Shogun Sport as it was too expensive to run and bought a zafira (7 seater) we've taken out the back 2 seats and when you slide the remaining row of back seats forward there's loads of room in the back for the dogs. We'll have 2 lurchers and a whippiet/terrier travelling in the back together.

As Craig will tell you, you really need a defender 110 utility station wagon ;D not that much room, but you will always arrive with a smile on your face. ;D

We have a Renault Scenic (older version) which is fab. You can remove all the back seats to make more room, but the boot is easily big enough for a greyhound and pointer. When we go camping, we put all of our stuff on the back seats, no problem. We're currently looking at changing the car to a Scenic Grande, as I'd like to get another dog (I think after 2 years of begging, I've finally worn the OH down!! ), but we def need to get a bigger car first for 3 dogs, as we go camping a lot, so need more space for the dogs and stuff. We switched recently from an Astra Estate to my mum's old Scenic - the boot space is probably a tiny bit smaller, but the space inside the car is much increased (we can get the pushchair on one side of the back seat comfortably). Boot's big enough for our greyhound and collie/GSD/terrier cross in comfort (well it would be if Nancy didn't persist in demanding 99.9% of it leaving poor Layton squished into a corner!)

Honda CRV and Jazz here. CRV for both hounds, the equipment and accessing all areas. Jazz for simplicity - fold back seat bits up in seconds (bit like a theatre chair) dogs can sit on the floor behind front seat or fold down back seats and loads of room in boot. Reliable too.

Peugeot partner teepee with a roof box has fitted three greyhounds and lots of luggage, or two greys, mum and dad and Steve with luggage for us all for a weeks holiday. It's not very glam (used to have two minis) but I love it!

I have a Mercedes-Benz Vito with darkened windows in the two rear sliding doors. Had Barjp of Wokingham build and fit three dog gates, across the two sliding doors and the twin rear doors I can lock the dog gates so when parked the two sliding doors can be open. It also has a dog guard to prevent them getting into the drivers area, more for their safety, I have fitted two 12v dc fans on the dog guard and have had a shelf built at the back so that I can store luggage there etc and all the rear floor is covered in dog beds so my three large Greyhounds, Merlin, Mickey Finn and Kelly plus Menta my Spanish Wire Haired Ibizan Hound Grande have plenty of room to stretch out in. Merlin my 8 & 1/4 year old parks himself on the dog beds under the rear shelf. If I need to take more luggage for when we go on holiday without our caravan I have a medium size trailer. If we are going caravanning then the luggage etc goes in that, but with this summer we have not been caravanning much this year. We have a holiday on 11-18th August at Swallows Dance Little Dumpledale Farm but should be able to get everything with luck in the Vito. Prior to the Vito I had a Citreon C5 Estate with top box but with only three sighthounds then I still needed to use the trailer. The C5 was great with its special suspension, really comfortable but not enough room for 4 large sighthounds it has gone to my OH who lives in Wokingham as her N reg Zantia worth about £150 needed £900 pounds at least spent on it to get through the mot the special suspension needed renewing. The Zantia has been scrapped now.

We've got a Renault Kangoo which is very roomy and good if you haven't got a massive amount to spend. You could supplement with a small trailer for camping holidays.
