Rigsby is 5 ½ years old and is currently being fostered in Welwyn Garden City, Herts. This description comes from me - his foster mum.
Fall in love with the Talented Mr Rigsby...
We’ve been fostering Rigsby since August and he’s been a pleasure to have around the house.
He is living with our 2 female greyhounds who’ve been showing him the ropes. So far he is reliably house trained, waits politely for his food and sleeps through the night.
He walks really well on lead, but can get excited when he sees some other dogs (mainly the running ones – I think he’s jealous).
We have been regularly taking him to the park and dog training to introduce him to a variety of dogs and he has stayed with my family’s German Shepherd on a few occasions. He has learnt to sit and lie down and doesn't beg for feed whilst you're eating.
Rigsby is a greyhound snob as he loves it when we meet other greyhounds – especially boys…? He doesn't show any dominant tendencies to the girls or other dogs we meet (male or female).
Although he gets on well with our dogs I think he could do equally well being an only dog as he is very keen on people – although may get lonely if left too long during the day.
Please feel free to contact Louise (foster mum) on 07887 943717 to discuss Rigsby in more detail and to arrange to meet him.
He has stayed with my parents in Norfolk and was the perfect gentleman whilst staying in their house and also enjoyed his trips to the beach and the pub (dog after my own heart!).
He is a love bug, especially loves nuzzling his head into your armpit when your sitting on the sofa.
Rigsby is being homed through Harlow Hounds www.harlowhounds.org and listed as Adam as his race name was Springwell Adam - but we call him Rigsby/Riggs.
All their dogs are neutered, vaccinated and come with four weeks free pet insurance plus a leather collar & lead and a muzzle.
