A friend went to her stables on staurday morning to find her rhodesian ridgeback Simba missing. At first they thought someone had let him out but now they think he has been stolen. There has been no sightings of him anywere and the stables were within walking distance of her house and Simba had walked it many a time and so it is thought he would have tried to find his way home.
My friend rescued him and hand reared him as he was serioulsy ill as a young puppy all his siblings died so he has a very strong bond with his owner. If he had just been set free he would have made his way home. He is also very wary of strange men but is fine with women, children and other dogs. He is quite small for a male ridgeback and is entire and microchipped his colouring is red with a black mask and white on his chest.
There is a perfectly good reason why he was left at the stables overnight which I cannot go into on here. The stable he slept in had meshing on the front and 2 doors. The door which was never used was found proped open with wood nothing else was missing just the dog. They do not think it was travellers as she has 3 coloured cobs in the stables and they weren't touched also the stables were down a track and having been there can say unless you knew they were there you would not know were they were or that the dog was there.
The police ,dog wardens and all local vets have been informed he is also on doglost he went missing from the Great Yarmouth area but he could now be anywere.
