LOL Sarah how can i resist a wake up call like that, to be fair with my lovely Rupert he slept down stairs for years but always kept door open ( i know not good fire procedure) but in later years I got used to his wake up calls, and at Kev's he encouraged Rupert's visits to the bed room ( that sounds so wrong) as for Guzzi the cat she has Guzzi law she lays it down and we all fall in line. To be fair since Barney boy in the house she has a new feeding station on an ironing board in the bar!
Met the lovely pixie pocket rocket Barney today He is absolutely beautiful and clearly very settled and happy in his new home
Infact he has two homes as Noel and I met Anthea and Barney at their work place where Barney is regularly fussed by the residents and staff alike. It was the first time Noel had ever been inside a care home and we got a tour around and Barney introduced Noel to all his older friends and Noel decided that he liked it there very much too ;D After that we went out in to the fields and let them rip They had a good 40 minutes run together which was so much fun for them. They were equally matched as Noel was faster but Barney at 2 had more energy and stamina and being lighter could corner and spin a lot quicker ;D They had a blast together.
Barney's one very happy dog and now has the life of riley ;D
Thanks Anthea we had a lovely time, Sarah x
If you think dogs can't count, try putting three dog biscuits in your pocket and then giving Fido only two of them. ~Phil Pastoret
Did you ever notice when you blow in a dog's face he gets mad at you? But when you take him in a car he sticks his head out the window. ~Steve Bluestone
Sarah, Noel was the topic of conversation at work for the afternoon how calm and beautiful he was. Barney does love the chase and to be chased by another hound so we will have to meet up lots. I loved, as you did seeing them run together in the fields , Barney not used to chasing a dog he cant catch up with and it made me laff! But Noel did need his lie down after showing what he could do. (Noel is such a beautiful boy)
Barney does have a good life but he makes my life and the life of others so much more complete as you saw for yourself today.
And chef saved them Gammon but you left too soon so Barney had to scoff the lot (so not to insult chef)

missfleur2003: Hello. I am new to this site and noticed that the posts for available dogs seem to be quite old. Some seem to be years old. Are the dogs shown still available.

peggy: Also a brand new greyhound owner, I love her already. It's hard to believe she is 4 years old, I have to keep reminding myself she was in a kennel and not a home. She is a beaut, but goes skits around food, I suppose it was the excieting time of day x

steeveet: Hi there, just had our home inspection by a lovely lady with her Greyhound Arthur, who I could have happily snaffled as he was sweet and at home with our girl Belle. Does anyone here know how we now get to meet any of the dogs who need a home?
