Cash for Clothing is a company who give money for unwanted clothing (www.cashforclothing.co.uk) They pay up to 50p per kilogram cash for unwanted clothing, shoes(paired), handbags, belts and soft toys. They accept duvet covers and sheets in some areas (keep separate - 10p/kg for these). Some areas are also accepting books and DVDs - 5p/kg, and mobile phones (price depends on the make, model and condition). They do not accept quilts, pillows, dirty or wet clothing, mats, carpets, off cuts, curtains or single shoes It could be worth asking neighbours, friends and work colleagues to have a sort through, and give you any bags of unwanted items - we may be able to raise a tidy sum for Gap A friend has recently done this for her church and raised just over £170!!!!! They collect in most areas of the UK - contact details are given on their website I'm going to arrange a local collection sometime in October, so if anyone has any re-wearable clothing, shoes(paired), handbags, belts or soft toys you want to bin-bag and give to me, please let me know. Our area doesn't collect any other items. If I know in advance, I'm happy to pick up a reasonable number of bags (to fit in our van) at the Gap show (don't tell Fran though!!!)
