Tully is a pain with his nipping and biting - he's hurt the others- he's actually put a significant hole in Sorda's head. He doesn't seem to learn - even after he put the hole in Sorda's head- she told him off, but a few minutes later he was straight back nipping at her ears (we took him away for his safety ). Poor Cushna bears the brunt and when she tells him off he thinks it's all a game- her head fits in his mouth and he's recently taken to nipping her legs. :err: He'll even nip us if he gets the chance- telling him off /ignoring him doesn't seem to work. He's got various balls/chews which divert him, but not all the time.

I don't know if this is the answer, but with CJ he has air snapped and nipped Steve in the arm once. I bought a a house plant water spray holder and when he has nipped or air snapped I have sprayed him with a jet of water from it and told him no. It is an American idea and also someone else with a greyhound told us that is what he did. Seems to work. Not an expert though.

Dex had a nip at Den when they were having a run, cost over £100 and a day at the vets to fix We put Dex in a muzzle, which he hated, and after a few times of wearing it, he stopped nipping, if he got rough again, we'd just put the muzzle on again. I don't know if he knew if he didn't bite he didn't have to wear it, or he got out of the habit of doing it, but it seemed to work. He's not worn it for few months now Emma x

Oh Alicia, I am so sorry to hear about Tullys behaviour , poor Sorda, and, Cushna . I think Emma's advice on the muzzle could be a goer ,but, could be worth giving Lisa a ring too, and, see what she advices in this situation ,as, obviously it needs to be stopped.........so, hope it can be soon sorted out for you Carol x

Will ring you tomorrow but for now everytime he gets OTT in the house take him out into another room and time him out for a couple of minutes! Bring him back in after a couple of minutes and say nothing and if he tries it again same thing remove him!

Trying that thank you, he can be a horror for ages. My main worry is him upsetting the others past a place we can control them. Today he's been a lot better- took them all for a walk and Cushna was allowed to enjoy it - rather than spending her time telling him off and hiding behind Ray or me. Maybe we've started to turn the corner.
